Daddydoh tip: How to get your toddler to eat vegetables

Anyone who’s tried to feed a green bean to a toddler knows what will happen: the little angel will either push your hand away or, if you can manage to get it in his mouth, spit it right out.
Our son only seems to like vegetables when they’re part of soup. Maybe it’s the salty broth that masks the offending flavor, or the heat that renders the peas and carrots soft enough to endure. But knowing that cooked veggies lose some of their nutrients still leaves us longing for a way to get fresh veggies in him.
At a restaurant recently, we tried to give him fresh peas, but he called them balls and proceeded to throw them as such. And then Daddydoh had an idea: submerge the fresh peas in soup and serve them up to him in a spoonful of broth. It worked!
There are entire cookbooks devoted to recipes containing hidden veggies. But for parents who don’t have a lot of time to cook, try this Daddydoh trick and let us know if it worked.
